Dr. (Prof.) Rajendran R. is a senior consultant in Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology based in Trivandrum, Kerala, with more than 40 years of national and international experience. A graduate of Government Medical College, Trivandrum, he completed his MBBS (1981), MS (1986), and MCh (1989) with distinction as the best outgoing candidate, and became the first DNB (Pediatric Surgery) holder from Kerala.

He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS), IMA Academy of Medical Specialities (FIAMS – Pediatric Urology), Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons (FIAPS), and Society of Pediatric Urology (FSPU).

Dr. Rajendran has served as Hospital Director, Professor, and Head of Department in India and abroad, including as Director of PG Training and HOD of Pediatric Surgery at a CBAHI-accredited teaching hospital under the Government of Saudi Arabia.

An accomplished academic, researcher, and speaker, he has presented over 100 scientific papers, delivered more than 400 lectures, published 42 research articles, contributed chapters to two textbooks, and edited five books. He currently serves as State President of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons (Kerala Chapter), National Executive Committee Member of SPU-IAPS, and State Chairman of the IMA Committee for Child & Adolescent Health.
